The recent concert of Willem Jeths's Scale with Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Hartmut Haenchen is the subject of the review by Erik Voermans on Het Parool.
On this review you will read: "Jeths wrote Scale for the Concertgebouw Orchestra, which premiered the piece in 2010. Usually that is also the last performance. The programmer of the NedPhO, Willem de Bordes, therefore deserves all the credit for wanting to break with that saddening tradition, because premieres are beautiful, but secondarys and tertiaries are better for repertoire development."
"Wonderful work, that Scale , full of reminiscences and allusions to Mahler's music. Jeths was rewarded with great applause by the audience." Erik Voermans, Het Parool
