About the event
Willem Jeths, the first Composer Laureate in 2014, composed his first cello concerto in 1999. Now he is composing his second cello concerto especially for the Cello Biennale and the German-Canadian soloist Johannes Moser.
Victor Julien-Laferrière is soloist in Shostakovich 's First Cello Concerto. With this concert he was the glorious winner of the first Queen Elisabeth Competition dedicated to the cello in Brussels in 2017.
